The key requirements are:
·proven ability to lead a complex, national or multi-national multi-site organization;
·knowledge and experience of the not-for-profit sector, preferably of environmental non- government organisations;
·outstanding leadership and people management skills to build and lead enthusiastic, goal oriented teams;
·superior knowledge and experience of financial management, corporate governance and risk management;
·demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and evaluating strategic plans;
·credibility as a recognised expert and leader in Conservation in and beyond China;
·high level negotiation and influencing skills and the capacity to develop and maintain strong relationships at all levels in the business, not-for-profit, scientific and political communities;
·superior oral and written communication skills in Mandarin and English; and interpersonal skills including the ability to represent an organisation at a range of local and fora, in the media and with the general public;
·appropriate tertiary qualifications in science, management, finance or other relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
