Sensus Shanghai, a wholly owned subsidiary of Smith-Blair, is a leading 
manufacturer of pipe repairing and joining products. We have an immediate 
opening for a sourcing engineer for rubber products to support our 
operation in the U.S. and China. 

Job description:

1. Identify potential Chinese rubber and other raw material supplier for 
Smith-Blair. 
2. Analyze rubber supplier’s manufacturing capability, Quality control 
system and cost structure.
2. Communicate engineering requirement to supplier and facilitate the 
communication between U.S. engineering team and supplier. 
3. Analyze rubber compound material spec and testing data.
4. Communicate with supplier and help establish and maintain a long term 
strategic relationship with Smith-Blair and suppliers. 

Requirement:

1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in chemistry specializing in rubber.
2. 5 years experience with rubber manufacturing or compound mixing. 
5. Good communication skills, a team player.
6. Good English skills, CET level 6 or equivalent preferred. Must be able 
to read and write English very well. Good spoken English a plus.
7. This position is based in Shanghai. We welcome talents from around the
