Software Engineer - Configuration Management

Searching for engineers (junior and senior roles) in Beijing to join a venture capital
backed early startup on next generation network security devices. This will be an unique
opportunity to participate the complete product design cycle.

Responsibility:
Your work is to contribute to the device management software development work for the
network security devices. You will be working on embedded web server, user interfaces
infrastructure(CLI and webUI), network management, administration, high availiability
and other aspects of network device management.

Experience and Skills (one or more)
- Configuration Management
- XML/schema architecture, parser
- Experience developing UNIX application in multiprocess environment.
- Good understanding of TCP/IP stack, HTTP and data communications.
- Embedded web development
- Proficiency in C, HTML, javascript and CSS.

Description:

opportunity to participate the complete product design cycle.

The ideal candidate will have 7-9 years of experience in the design and debug of
electronic hardware systems and will be self driven and goal oriented with
proven track record of product delivery. This engineer will be a hardware
engineering team pioneer at Beijing, China. This candidate will be involved in
helping setup a hardware design, tools and process infrastructure at this
facility. Good communication skills are a requirement. A detailed
knowledge of systems design is required. Background in networking is a plus.
Responsibilities include board level digital/analog design, PCB layout
supervision, programmable logic, FPGA and ASIC design support, part selection
and evaluation, and manufacturing support. Lab skills are a plus. Education
requirements: MS/BS degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering

Description:

Candidate must be able to handle documentation projects from start to finish,
manage time well, and meet deadlines. Position requires demonstrated
communication skills with subject matter experts, other technical writers, and
project managers.

Responsibilities
Responsible for creating new and updating existing documentation set based on
additional features being added to the product. Work includes researching
technical topics, developing content, and editing and formatting final
documentation for release Write release notes, sections in various manuals, and
entire documents, as the need arises. Interview subject matter experts; attend
product meetings to obtain product information; research relevant technology
Prepare technical manuals for web publication and online help Plans and
organizes individual documents. Creates doc plan

Requirements

Typically has 5 years of technical writing or equivalent experience. Has strong
knowledge of authoring tools: FrameMaker, RoboHelp. Adobe Illustrator knowledge
a plus. Typically has completed a four-year degree or equivalent. Has knowledge
of networking (VLANs, routing) and protocol standards (TCP, HTTP). Ability to
work well with developers and engineers. Has good teamwork skills. Has excellent

Product Manager

Description:
Searching for product managers (junior and senior roles) in Beijing to join a venture capital
backed early startup on next generation network security devices. This will be an unique
opportunity to participate the complete product design cycle.


Manage various network security product set through all stages of the product lifecycle.
Lifecycle stages include: new ideas, products under development, products in
production, and products undergoing end-of-life management. Will be responsible
for managing a cross-functional development and implementation team, analyzing
competitors, defining product requirements, formulating business cases,
supporting sales of product and managing product escalations from field sales.
Also be responsible for managing development projects in Beijing, including
tracking project status, ensuring timelines are met, and identifying key
milestones.

Minimum Requirements: Fluent English Be willing and able to travel to meet with
customers. Have three-or-more years of networking experience. Two years or more of
management (product management, project management or engineering management)
experience. Engineering degree (preferably BSEE or BSCS)

Description:

Job Requirements:

Experience as a Test engineer for networking and security related
products. Strong networking experience with routing protocols, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP,
layer 7 applications familiarity such as http, ftp, etc.

Strong network devices knowledge on Routers and switches.

Preferably familiar with security technologies such as Firewalls, VPN and IDS
(Intrusion Detection Systems)

Ability to excel in a fast-paced, start-up environment where action and
initiative are prerequisites to survival.

Experience writing test plans, test suites and test procedures at the black
box and system test levels.

Strong understanding of regression, integration, Interoperability, system
level and stress/load test execution. Experience in leading projects throughout
the testing cycle is preferred.

Experience in a mixed Linux/UNIX and Windows environment.

Knowledge in automation scripts using TCL and Perl is a plus.

Ability to anticipate problems and issues, and then recommend solutions to the
problems

Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills.

Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field with few years of
working experience in software quality assurance.
