Summary:
Software (DSP) Developer for the uClinux Team. Ability to port applications an
d integrate with prototype hardware for ADI processors and converters and deve
lop board support packages (BSP) using open source (GNU/uCLinux) tool chain en
vironment for VoIP. The candidate must have excellent C/C++ and assembly codin
g skills, experience in and strong knowledge of media protocols (RTP, sRTP, SD
P, RTCP, sRTCP, TLS/SSL, QOS, SIP), media mixing, and encoding methods (e.g. G
.711, G.729). Must understand end-to-end transport issues for various networki
ng protocols including DHCP, DNS, FTP, NAT, PPP, PPPoE, RIP, SNMP, SNTP and ot
hers. Strong knowledge of call control protocols is desired - SIP in particula
r. 

Required Skills:
·	Experience porting vocoders, on wireless as well as wireline networks, e.g.
 AMR, G.726, G.729, G.723.1 etc.
·	Thorough understanding of the vocoder algorithms, their voice quality metri
cs and QOS. 
·	able to write a highly optimized code making use of the parallel instructio
ns, 
·	have a thorough understanding of digital signal processing algorithms, such
 as adaptive filters, automatic gain control, VoIP , SPI, SSI, ESAI, I2C, nois
e Cancellation/reduction, spectral subtraction, sub banding, LMS, RLS, FFT, FI
R, IIR etc.
·	demonstrated knowledge of fixed point formats and constraints
·	Good understanding of signaling and transport protocols in wireless network
s that provide VOIP service.
·	Build BSPs using uCLinux and GNU/Linux development environments. Implementa
tion is done in fixed point C and assembly code, and further hand optimization
 is required for efficient use of memory and processing power 
·	Experience in writing and automating test scripts for regressions 
·	Ability to read schematics and hardware specifications as they relate to em
bedded DSP.
·	The candidate will resolve the issues in real voice network to guarantee a 
successful deployment
·	3-5 years experience with digital signal processing and speech processing o
r VoIP.
·	C/C++  and assembly coding skills
·	hands-on DSP software development experience in a commercially deployed pro
duct.
·	good understanding of current wireline, wireless and VoIP codecs 
·	a good understanding of voice enhancement algorithms such as echo cancellat
ion, noise suppression and gain control
·	Experience developing and deploying products using gcc/Linux 
·	Experience in voice over packet system equipment company will be an asset

·	Solid technical skills / knowledge to drive solutions prototyping & develop
ment across a wide range of technically diverse groups
·	Proficiency in IP network architecture and IP network routing protocols 
·	Full cycle of software development including detailed analysis, design, imp
lementation, debugging and developer testing
