Position: Software Engineer (Reusable SOA Assets Development)
Work Location: Shuion Plaza, Shanghai
Work Time: From  06/11   (yy/mm) To   07/02   (yy/mm)
Work Frequency:   at least 4   days per week， 5  days is prefer

Job Description
Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) provides a flexible, robust 
infrastructure for modeling, assembling, deploying, and managing business 
processes for today's on demand business environment. SOA helps customers 
increase the flexibility of their business processes, strengthen their 
underlying IT infrastructure, and retain and reuse their existing assets. 
To better bridge the gap between customers and their software, IBM has 
opened four Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Design Centers where 
customers can put new SOA solutions together that meet their specific 
needs. China SOA Design Center was founded in 2004, focuses on transforming 
customers' business to an on-demand model through SOA as well as developing 
reusable SOA assets. Assets are collections of artifacts that provide 
solutions to problems. Reusable assets provide a solution to a problem for 
a given context. Reusable SOA assets are harvested from SOA engagement, and 
create business value to IBM and its customers.
Reusable SOA Assets Development takes responsibilities on asset harvesting 
from SOA customer engagement, e.g., proposal, design and delivery and 
promotion.

Job Responsibilities:
- Design and Develop IBM reusable SOA assets based on edge-cutting 
technologies such as SOA using various IBM development tools; 
- Participate in the whole reusable SOA asset development lifecycle, 
including feasibility study, requirement analysis, architecture and use 
case design, code development, testing, and deployment.

Job Requirements:
- Good communication skills, both Chinese and English (written and spoken)
- Passion to work as a professional software engineer
- Creative thinking, Self motivator and quick learner, good teamwork and 
risk-taking spirit
- Extensive knowledge and working experience in Java and Web application 
development;
- Experience with SOA reference architecture, Methodology and GSMethod is a 
plus
- Knowledge and insight in Component Design -- UML, Design Pattern, OOAD, 
etc.
- Experienced in J2EE(EJB, JCA, JTA,etc.), Web Services(XML, SOAP, WSDL, 
UDDI, BEPL ...) 
- Hands-on experience with various IBM products, including Rational 
products (RAD or Eclipse is required, others such as ClearQuest, ClearCase, 
RequisitePro is a plus), WebSphere Application Server, and DB2 (Domino is a 
plus);
- Graduate student or PHD candidate
