Report to Department Manager (American)
JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Set up and maintain export records and databases for Company region entities.
2. Facilitate export compliance procedure implementation by providing follow through with regional sub-Export Compliance Officers.
3. Assist in audit preparation by providing support as necessary.
4. Follow through and track progress for required tasks
5. Act as regional liaison to the department manager and administrative staff in Detroit.
6. Schedule and communicate meetings and conference calls with agendas as needed. Take notes and prepare minutes and publish on the team site.
7. Coordinate logistics for face to face meeting in Shanghai
8. Track and upload all appropriate files to the team site
9. Provide administrative support for training development and deployment for Company entities, sub-Export Compliance Officer team, etc.
10. Coordinate with appropriate function and maintain files if export licenses required for specific cases.
11. Cull news media sources and summarize weekly for relevant foreign policy news, trade compliance news, regulatory updates – Visual Compliance, COMPANY Newsline, Asia news sources, WSJ, etc.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
1. Speak, read, and write English proficiently.
2. Experience working in a multinational company.
3. Knowledge of business protocol for scheduling meetings, writing meeting agendas and minutes, email communications, and making international phone calls.
4. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
5. Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel.
Preferred:
1. Knowledge of export control regulations (US and/or other country)
2. Knowledge of automotive industry
