Job Profile:
Watson Wyatt has recently established an insurance & Financial Services (IFS) consulting practice in Mainland China and our intention is to grow this into a significant business. We are looking for Actuarial Consultants to support China business development. Whilst focus will be placed on China, there will be also be opportunities for the candidate to work across the whole Asia Pacific region with the rest of our non-life team.
Responsibilities:
As a member of our Asia Pacific non life consulting team, you will be involved in a variety of projects.including:
Mergers and acquisitions and company appraisals
Analysis of policy liabilities and reserving
Premium pricing including GLM analysis
Financial risk management and DFA
Asia market entry strategies and research
Qualifications:
To be considered for the successful candidate of the Non Life Actuarial Consultants, you are expected to have:
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial study, Actuarial science, Statistics or other actuarial -related degrees; honors degree conferred is preferable
Strong actuarial professional knowledge and technical analytical skills.
Strong computer software/programming skills. (e.g spreadsheet, databases, VBA)
Able to work independently as well as contribute effectively as a team player.
Attention to detail and commitment to task.
Well-organized, able to handle a variety of assignments and meet tight deadlines.
Related experiences in general insurance actuarial work gained through either a consulting or insurance company environment.
Strong written and spoken English and Mandarin.
As an actuarial consultant, you will pursue actuarial fellowship qualifications, and will be provided with a comprehensive Exam Study Program.
