Positions available in the University of Sydney
Postdoctoral/postmaster research associate positions are available immediately
 to work on the transmission electron microscopy (TEM) characterization of adv
anced nanostructured materials in the School of Aerospace, Mechanical and Mech
atronic Engineering (AMME), the University of Sydney, Australia. Candidates sh
ould have extensive experience in materials characterization using state-of-th
e-art TEM techniques and have solid background in crystallography and crystall
ine defect analysis. Knowledge of materials mechanical properties is a plus. 

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to participate in multiple 
programs in the materials group in the School of AMME and to study the structu
res and defects of advanced nano-materials. He/she will carry out TEM experime
nts in the Electron Microscope Unit/Australian Key Center for Microscopy and M
icroanalysis, which is arguably the best microscopy laboratory in Australia, i
