INTERPRETER

Broad function : Be responsible for interpretation and translation from English to Chinese and vice versa as well as to assist in general administrative duties
Location : Beijing
Department : Administration
Reports to : Manager of Liaison Office (Beijing)

Job Responsibilities
1. Responsible for provision of translation and interpretation needs of the Liaison Office. This includes oral translation for business meetings and negotiation as well as written translations of documents from Chinese to English or vice versa.
2. Interpreter in meetings and recording the minutes, if necessary, as well as preparation and distribution of meeting documentation.
3. Able to convey business message and underlying intention to parties in both English and Mandarin.
4. General office duties will include answering the telephone, document printing, filing, document delivery as required, etc.
5. Responsible for travel arrangements including ticket and hotel reservations.
6. Receive visitors and guests.
7. Transfer of important messages and instructions during the absence of Manager.
8. Establish good relationship internally and externally.
9. Ad-hoc duties as assigned.


Pre-requisites
• A recognized university degree
• Excellent interpreter skills with minimal 4 years’ of relevant experience
• Excellent command of the English and Chinese language (written and verbal)
• A team player, dedicated, self-driven and highly motivated
• Culturally sensitive, trust worthy, as well as tenacity
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Effective liaison with internal and external stakeholders
