Job Description:

Powell Tate | Weber Shandwick is growing rapidly in China; consequently, we have an ongoing need for interns for the Research Department in our Beijing office. The Research Intern will be part of a dynamic team and will work on various local, regional and global public affairs assignments. The Research Intern will play an essential role in political, policy and business research as well as market analysis. He or she should offer a hands-on mentality, an eye for detail, strong organizational skills and the ambition to grow in public affairs.

Most importantly, a Research Intern must demonstrate an interest and background in politics and international relations. Political, business, and legal analyses are an essential part of Powell Tate's work, and all team members must provide insightful, individual ideas regarding ways to influence and respond to government regulations and policies.

It is expected that Research Interns will gain experience of agency life through their work. A qualified applicant should possess:

Minimum bachelors degree (with honors or equivalent), preferably in Political Science, International Relations, Business, Economics, Law, or related field
Research experience, business administration or journalism background a plus
Good marketing and commercial sense
Outgoing personality who can network effortlessly; likes to meet people
Ability to work seamlessly in an English environment
DESIRE to enhance understanding and knowledge about politics, public policy, and business/market behavior
ABILITY to convey this knowledge to colleagues and build the trust of blue-chip clients
PASSION for problem-solving
CREATIVE business/strategic ideas
