The A.R.E.N.A. Group is currently looking for a high caliber bilingual Mandarin - English candidate to handle the"Ally Coordinator" position within the headquarters of A.R.E.N.A.'s newly integrated Chinese partner (located in Shanghai, China) - in charge of Sourcing and Quality Control.
This job position is to be filled from January or February 2007 onwards

1. The A.R.E.N.A. Group
1.1. A.R.E.N.A. is an alliance formed by top DIY (“Do-It-Yourself”) and building material retailers.
1.2. A.R.E.N.A. International is A.R.E.N.A.’s purchasing office in charge of negotiating of common review with its members: - it is a single negotiation centre for 3110 stores (7 banners) located in 13 countries across 4 continents; - it contributes to total sales revenue of 17.4 bn EUR (2004).
1.3. · A.R.E.N.A. consists of 6 departments : - the Import Department - the DIY Department - the Garden Department - the Seasonal Department - the Decoration Department - the Building Materials Department.
1.4. Each of the Allies of the Alliance have a local "Ally Coordinator" to coordinate the A.R.E.N.A. International and A.R.E.N.A. Import activities at each Ally's end.
1.5. A.R.E.N.A. has been extending in 08/2006 its international network by integrating a Chinese partner in the Alliance.
2. Job position and Candidate Profile
A.R.E.N.A. is currently looking for the "Ally Coordinator" in China, in charge of both Sourcing and Quality Control activities for a job position located in SHANGHAI
The candidate should :
- be perfectly bilingual Mandarin - English (written, read, spoken), with multi-cultural / international background or experience
- preferably be experienced in the DIY retail industry or experienced in purchasing
- have 3 to 5 years professional experience
Interviews will be handled in SHANGHAI
3. Detailed Job Description
3.1. Ally Import / Sourcing Coordinator..
[ indicative functions ]
> Coordinate locally the ARENA International and Import activities (and specifically the import schedules validated by the Allies)
> Applies the procedures of the ARENA Group to the local Ally, verifies the respect of the working methods and procedures and trains the Ally's buyers on the ARENA import procedures
> Elaborates the import quotations, verifies, runs and analyses the price inquiries - with the help of the Ally's sourcing team
> Contributes potentially to the development of the Ally's import activity
