The position of an Application Technician
Mankiewicz Gebr. & Co. was founded in 1895 in Hamburg/Germany as an independent subsidiary of the English paint factory Robert Ingham Clark and Felix Mankiewicz, initially for the sale and later for the manufacture of high-quality paints.
Over a century of taking pleasure in innovation made Mankiewicz a manufacturer of high-quality coating systems, operating worldwide. Nowadays, more than 800 staff members are occupied with the realization of “Coating Concepts of the Future” to ensure value-added and long-term preservation of utility and capital goods.
For our expanding operation in China we are seeking highly qualified personnel to help us to develop the Chinese and Asian market. For our office in Shanghai we want to hire paint application technician experts with the following responsibilities and requirements:
Positions:
1) Application Technician – Automotive Paint
2) Application Technician – Industrial Paint
Key responsibilities:
- Technical Service to customers in China and Asia
- Lab work (spraying of sample panels, claim handling etc)
- Hands-on service at customer production sites
- Technical presentations and seminars at customers and national as well as international conferences/exhibitions
Requirements
- University degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or paint related technologies
- Experience in paint system applications; preferably knowledge in paint usage for automotive applications (interior/exterior) or industrial paint for machines, tools, toys, computers, consumer electronics
- Very good command of written and spoken English
- PC skills, familiar with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email
- at least 3 years of relevant work experience in paint production or usage, preferably with a foreign company
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willing to travel frequently even outside of China
The position of a Sales & Customer Service Representative

Position:
1) Customer Service Representative – Industrial and High Tech Coating Systems
2) Customer Service Representative – Automotive Coating Systems
Key responsibilities:
- Sales Order Processing and Customer Service Management
- Sales and Marketing project support and co-ordination
- Market research in selected industry sectors, eg. consumer electonics market
- Developing new markets and eventually taking over key customer accounts
Requirements
- Outstanding University/College education with degree in business, economics, chemistry or chemical engineering
- Very fluent in written and spoken English
- PC skills, familiar with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email
- Preferably relevant work experience in related areas or industries with a foreign enterprise
- Preferably knowledge in paint usage for industrial applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willing to travel frequently, even outside of China
