Company Overview
Virtual Village is a Wholly Foreign Owned Enterprise registered in Shanghai China. We are an Online Retail Operation selling Chinese products to Western countries offering support via the Internet in each country’s own language. We currently have an opportunity for a Spanish Internet Entrepreneur.
We are looking for employees who can work in our uniquely International culture where local Chinese staff work side by side with Western staff to source Chinese manufactured products which are shipped direct to customers in Europe, the Americas and Australia. Employees would then provide online customer support both pre and post sale.
The company is a small friendly operation with currently twenty employees run by a very Entrepreneurial CEO with considerable International experience building & running private & public companies in both Europe & the USA.
Job Title
You have been hired on as an Internet entrepreneur. Given the growing nature of Virtual Village and the requirements of the company in future, the country you will be running or help run will be decided upon soon before your arrival.
We give Interns the same responsibilities as full-time employees with the intention of having them learn as much as possible in the time working with us.
Job Description
Managing a Market entails:
-Market Improvements
-Research of competition
-Reviewing of existing products on sale
-Market Research
-Currently using eBay as a tool to research competition
-Listings
-Putting new products up for sale, considering price, profit margins, competition, shipping prices, stock levels.
-Customer Service
-Dealing with customer inquiries pre / post sale
-Handling replacements / Refunds
-Marketing
-Pay-per-click advertising
-Reporting of Key Performance Indicators
-Reporting on GMS, GMP, NP, Emails Received.
