The successful candidate will assume the role of a software engineer within th
e AJAR Development Group in Shanghai.  The candidate will be working in one of
 the most exciting areas of wireless and mobile technologies in Motorola TTPCo
m Product Group. The role encompasses the execution environment which powers M
otorola TTPCom Product Grouop's applications on a variety of leading silicon p
latforms through to the underlying multimedia and cellular engines which power
 the handsets of the world’s major handset manufacturers.  Software developme
nt for Motorola TTPCom Product Group’s application platform is separated into
 three focus areas: Framework, Applications and Platforms. The candidate’s pr
imary focus will be on Platforms which involves porting to different hardware 
platforms.

The candidate’s key responsibilities will be to develop high quality and prof
essional software under embedded environments found in GSM or 3G handset. The 
work ranges in scope from configuring existing software modules to work with n
ew platform to the design of entirely new features. The role will be varied an
d will involve all stages of the product life cycle from initial project justi
fication through design, implementation and testing.

The successful candidate will be joining a creative, experienced team in the o
pen and supportive environment of Motorola TTPCom Product Group, within which 
new ideas and skills are welcomed.
 
Qualifications

•	Good University degree in computing science, electronics engineering.

•	Knowledge of communications is desirable.

General work experience

•	Relevant experience in C/C++, and preferably in embedded systems.
•	Software life cycle: requirements definition, design, implementation, 
integrations and testing.

Skills

•	Proficiency in C/C++ programming
•	Use of version control systems
•	Good technical writing skills – requirements capture, design and user
 documentation
•	Borland C++ Builder or similar software development environment
•	Basic knowledge of digital hardware and real-time embedded software en
gineering is desirable.

Personal Qualities 

•	Bright, fast thinker
•	Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•	Able to work as part of the team with good interpersonal skills
