Business Group Overview 
The Company Communications group is focused on designing and building communic
ations technologies such as Ethernet connectivity products, optical components
, communications processing solutions and broadband products. 

Responsibilities 
In this position, you will be responsible for help develop wireless system arc
hitecture. You will assist the research team on the analyzing and evaluating o
f advanced mobile wireless broadband systems, and implementing of the Proof of
 Concept (POC). 

Qualifications 
1.  Master or Ph.D candidate, major in communication engineering with above 2 
years in wireless systems research/engineering. 
2.  Can work as an intern 4 days per week (weekend not included) for 12 months
. 
3.  Team work, motivation and communication skills 

Additional qualifications include: 
- Practical experience in design and/or analysis of wireless systems and a goo
d knowledge of state-of-the-art wireless technologies and standards 
- Understanding of key radio access technologies such as Orthogonal Frequency-
Division Multiplexing (OFDM), Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (O
FDMA*), and key Medium Access Control (MAC) methods applicable to the design o
f mobile cellular broadband networks. 
- Knowledge of current 3rd Generation Partnership Project LTE and Time Divisio
n-Synchronous Code Division Multiple Access (TD-SCDMA) standards 
- Deep understanding of air-interface, PHY/MAC design or protocols 
- Demonstrated skills in wireless communications simulation tools and experien
ced in link level simulation 
- Knowledge of Smart antenna and Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) 
- Solid programming skills in MATLAB* and C/C++ 
- Familiarity with 802.16 (WiMAX) standards would be an added advantage

Description
In this position, you will work to assist BDM closely. You will be responsible
 for helping collect relative technical articles from engineering team, transf
erring the engineering language to marketing language, technically assist BDM 
in meetings with customer, as well conducting China WiMAX related market intel
ligence and research.

Qualifications 
To be Master candidate, major in communication engineering. 
Understand of key radio access technologies such as OFDM, OFDMA, and key MAC m
ethods applicable to the design of mobile cellular broadband networks. 
Knowledge of current 3rd Generation Partnership Project LTE and TD-SCDMA stand
ards 
Knowledge in common wireless communication standards and technology 
Experience with data collection, industry analysis, data distribution and/or r
eport writing skills 
Excellent English writing and speaking skills 
Team work, motivation and communication skills 
Be able to work as an intern 4 days per week (weekend not included) for 12 mon
ths.
