Excellence is the minimum standard acceptable. job description Provide in-depth database consultation, including but not limited to capacity planning, performance, backup & recovery and security Participate in data modeling Participate in application design Evaluate Oracle features and Oracle related products and provide a strategic database direction for the organization Install, configure, administer and upgrade Oracle server software and related products Trouble shoot database crashes, failures and other unexpected behavior Qualifications Qualification Good spoken and written English Good knowledge of Oracle data integrity, resources management, performance tuning PL/SQL development experience Proven experience on complex and critical application consultation and/or support Ability to establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures Good trouble shooting skills Experience in code migration, database change management and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle A good understanding of the underlying operating system Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines A sound communication skills with management, development teams, vendors and systems administrators Database migration experience from other RDBMS to Oracle to oracle is a plus
