Are you passionate about speech technologies? Always wanted to apply what you learn in the lab to the real product that are used by millions of users? Do you get excited about opportunities to think outside the box and create leading-edge software while learning and using advanced Microsoft technologies? The Microsoft ATC Speech Group has multiple openings for talented, motivated software development engineers to help architect and deliver new software technologies of our state of the art Text To Speech (TTS) engine. Development responsibilities include the design, implementation and the delivery of software component that enable and assist ongoing improvement of the TTS technology. Your immediate responsibilities will include working closely with program management and development lead to research, design, and implement prototypical technologies.
Qualifications:
Passionate about Speech and Voice User Interface. So Speech Recognition, Text to Speech or Natural Language Processing is not a foreign word for you. Fresh graduate with extensive academic speech laboratory experience will be a big plus.
Background or outstanding course work on one of the followings are essential:
Digital signal processing
Speech recognition or text to speech system
Text analysis on non-native language
Natural language processing
Quick learner, curious about advanced technology. Familiar with any of the programming languages: C/C++/C#.
Willing to work in a team, communicating with others comes natural but capable of conducting your work with minimum supervision. You will be given challenging tasks. It is required you had obtained a post graduate degree, MS or PhD in CS, EE.or computation linguistics related discipline.
