Obtain and analyze quotations and negotiates total cost elements.
Initiate sourcing, locate, select and manage a high-performance supplier base for outsourcing of components.
Technical discriminator for part and parts family, design for manufacturability (DFM), intellectual property, volume and value, technical feasibility, quality plans and process control.
Cross-functional efforts to achieve standardization, build families of components and dedicated suppliers.
Authorship and ownership of Tech Centers sourcing plans and strategies
Technical communication between the Tech Centers and suppliers for Non-Conformance Report (NCR), waiver, Remedial Work Plan (RWP), improvement plan, drawing and specification correction and problem solving
Status reporting of Tech Centers production and sourcing activities including scheduling deliveries and expedite as necessary.
Recommend opportunities to reduce total product cost, total inventory investment through new sources, improved system or methods, and negotiations etc.
Communicate with and maintain the highest degree of relations between Schlumberger (Tech Centers) and all levels of supplier personnel.
Participate and lead team on process improvement programs, like Lean Six Sigma.
Have processes (procedures) under your ownership mapped (written) and always updated.
Report all non-conformity cases, poor service quality processes, and clients' complaints into QUEST program. Resolve quality and material discrepancy issues.
Rank suppliers and keep Approved Suppliers List updated, in conjunction with QA dept.
Leads supplier certification and quality system review.
Vendor invoice review and resolve any inconsistency.
All processes performed in full compliance with Schlumberger SCS, Quality, Healthy, Safety and Environment requirements and local regulations.
