Responsibilities:
Exchange FrontEnd team is responsible for developing OWA (aka. Outlook Web Access) which is part of the Exchange product unit and the Front End (FE) product specifically. As a Software Design Engineer in Test (SDET), you'll ensure OWA's quality by making sure it performs as users expect it to. Primary responsibilities include creating new test cases and test plans to cover most scenarios for feature specifications and prevent unknown holes/security attack, manually testing to produce product bugs, creating automation test cases (including UI automation based on JScript) to prevent regression bugs in daily build, ensuring that all tests are executed according to the group's test guidelines and code reviewing bug fixes in the product. The work also involves interaction with Dev team, PM team, and other test team to understand testing requirements and methodologies and to ensure timely resolution of problems.
Qualifications
Passion for customer and software quality;Strong drive for results; A keen desire and ability to break software
Fluency in C/C++/C#/ and experience designing and developing tool architecture
Ability to solve complex problems and write automation systems and device drivers
Ability to author test plans and cases, conduct security and stress tests, and debug at source level after identifying, investigating, and prioritizing bugs
Demonstrated skills in negotiation and conflict management
Demonstrated interest in customer advocacy derived from a holistic understanding of the product from the code level to delivery
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
The following qualifications are a plus:
A BA/BS degree in Computer Science
Understanding of COM and .Net technologies
Experience with ASP .Net development and testing.
