Responsibilities:
The Advanced Technology Center (ATC) located in Beijing, China is looking for a talented and highly motivated software developer to work on an exciting search-related project which will significantly improve MSN customer experience. This project is a joint effort of ATC, the MSN multimedia search team and Microsoft Research Asia to deliver cutting-edge technologies in the next-generation multimedia search service.
As a developer in this team, you will be working closely with our program management and test teams in both Beijing and Redmond on creating innovative features, building end-to-end user experiences, and driving product development from conception to release.
Qualifications:
Passion for technology and innovation
Solid computer science background
Strong design/coding/debugging skills
Strong learning and problem solving ability
Good oral and written communication skills in both English and Chinese
A track record of high performance as well as a good team player.
Proficiency in C++ is required. Proficiency in C# and .Net technologies (or web page design) is a big plus
A BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical equivalent is required, and MS degree is preferred
Software development experience with full release cycles of major software or Internet products is preferred Broad knowledge and expertise in information retrieval, machine learning, statistical inference, NLP, multimedia process, and related areas are preferred.
