Division Introduction

The Open Source Technology Center (OTC) team is an organization under Software
 and Solution Group(SSG) of Intel Asia-pacific Research & Development Ltd. Our
 mission is enabling Linux software system on Ultra Mobile Device based on Low
 Power Intel Architecture. We'd like to hire interns to join us to develop and
 validate the software for the Linux System on the Ultra Mobile Device.

In short, we will validate the Operating System, device drivers based on Low P
ower Intel Architecture processor and multimedia applications. If you'd like t

Title

         Linux System and Device Driver Software Intern

Responsibilities

         The intern is responsible for developing Linux system and device driv
ers. Optimize LINUX system structure and driver for ultra mobile device. Disco
ver UMD new usage model. 

 

Qualifications

         Linux driver programming skill is required.

         Programming skill of C, ASM of Intel Architecutre is required.

         Programming skill of script language, like BASHPerlPython, is preferr
ed.

         Knowledge of software engineer and quality assurance is preferred.

         Good problem analysis and problem solving skills, ability to work ind
ependently

         Be familiar with traditional GNU tools, such as vi(m), find, grep , t
ar,gzip, gunzip, etc.

         Fluent English communication skill is preferred.

         Major in Computer Science Software Engineering Electronic Engineering
 is required.

         0.5 year internship duration is required, while 1 year internship dur
ation is preferred.

Responsibilities:

         The intern is responsible for enable/develop the correctness of multi
media decoder & encoder behavior under Linux environment. Optimize codec for U
MD. Discover UMD new usage model. 

 

Qualifications:

         Programming skill of C/C++/ASM of Intel Architecutre is required.

         Programming skill of C, ASM of Intel Architecutre is required.

         Multimedia background is required, such as MP3, MPEG4, JPEG, GSMAMR, 
etc.

         Knowledge of multimedia framework is preferred.

         Programming skill of script language, like BASH/Perl/Python, is prefe
rred.

         Knowledge of software engineer and quality assurance is preferred.

Title:
	Multimedia Software Validation Intern

Responsibilities:
	The intern is responsible for validating the correctness of multimedia decode
r & encoder behavior under Linux environment. The intern is responsible for ma
king test plan, choosing or developing test cases and following test process t
o do execution and giving out test report. The intern may need to enhance test
 automation. The intern is responsible for following defect management process
 to co-work with developer team.

Qualifications:
        Basic knowledge of multimedia is highly required, such as MP3/AAC/GSMA
MR/JPEG/MPEG2/MPEG4/H.263/H.264, etc.

	Programming skill of C/C++/ASM of Intel Architecutre is required.

	Programming skill on Linux is preferred.

	Algorithm optimization experience on Intel Architecutre is preferred

	Programming skill of script language, like BASH/Perl/Python is preferred

	Knowledge of software engineer and quality assurance is preferred

	Major in Computer Science /Software Engineering/ Electronic Engineering is re
