Title of position:    Officer/Senior Officer of Barcode Scanning Project

Department:        ASISYSLOGWND

Reports to:          Executive of Barcode Solution Project

Location:  Shanghai

Purpose & general responsibilities of the position:

1. Deliver Barcode Scanning solutions to Asia countries using agreed framework and methodology.
2. Provide system consultancy, IT project management, solution implementation services for Barcode Scanning solutions.
3. Barcode services include barcode scanning, scan and pack, label printing for related business units in Asia.
4. Usage of Project Framework (Global IS V-model and Microsoft Solution Framework) best practices in all projects, and use the agreed project priority mechanism.
5. Coordinate with various IS partners such as CENSYSLOGWND, ASIEDI, GCAISPRJ/DEV and NAMLOGSYS in delivering BAR solution TIMELY – Drive shortest time to market project implementation.
6. Barcode Scanning equipment vendor management.
7. Keep abreast of barcode scanning technology and knowledge.

Specific responsibilities of the position:

1. Deliver Barcode Scanning solutions to Asia countries using agreed framework and methodology.
a. Design Barcode Scanning solutions according to business requirement.
b. Use GCAISBAM standard project framework (adaptation of Global IS V-model and MSF) actively in all projects
c. Use of proper project framework documentation template
d. Provide clear and proper documentation for project and support documents according to agreed framework.
e. Proper use and instant update to Focal point or globally selected project management tool
f. Communicate and coordinate with business manager to understand business requirements correctly, and properly documented
g. Provide clear system specification according to business requirement to Development to deliver customization and configuration of system
h. Use of proper test scenarios
i. Apply proper change management to the  projects
j. Evaluate and prioritize for the change.
k. Create/Update the documents which related to the change
l. Proper handover to support section once the project go live

2. Provide system consultancy, IT project management, solution implementation services for Barcode Scanning solutions.
a. On request bases to provide solution analysis and recommendations
b. Fully understand Barcode Scanning business process and system needs
c. Develop Barcode Scanning product and service catalogues and facilitate selling and promoting of Barcode Scanning solutions with local/area sales and client managers.
d. Provide Barcode Scanning Solution presentation and demonstration as required.
e. To assist, coordinate and conduct Barcode Scanning System training and awareness workshops.
f. Create/Maintain the Barcode Scanning System documentations
g. Maintain intranet site for Barcode Scanning Solution team.

3. Barcode services include barcode scanning, scan and pack, label printing for related business units in Asia.
a. Adopt standardize barcode systems and solutions
b. Communicate and collaborate with CENSYSLOG and NAMLOGSYS in getting agreement in best global BAR and label printing products
c. Adopt automation of using Barcode Scanning system

4. Use of Project Framework (Global IS V-model and Microsoft Solution Framework-MSF) best practices in all projects.
a. Use GCAISBAM standard project framework (adaptation of Global IS V-model and MSF) actively in all projects
b. Use and adopt project framework best practice for all projects.
c. Develop and use of proper project framework documentation template
d. Clear and proper documentation for project and support documents according to agreed framework.
e. Proper use and instant update to Focal point or globally selected project management tool
f. Apply proper change management to Barcode Scanning projects.
g. Use post-project implementation survey for continuous project management improvement

5. Partner with various IS partners such as CENSYSLOGWND, ASIEDI, GCAISPRJ/DEV and NAMLOGSYS in delivering Barcoding solution TIMELY – Drive shortest time to market project implementation.
a. Adopt for shorter and faster project implementation time
b. Use post-project implementation survey for continuous project management improvement
c. Coordinate with GCAISIM team in delivering required infrastructure.
d. Maintain good coordination and communication within WND/BAR and GCAIS teams in order to provide best solution to Asia customers.

6. Barcode Scanning equipment vendor management.
a. Liaise with suppliers for the barcode scanning/printing related hardware.
b. Coordinate hardware maintenance between GCAISIM and supplier.

Measurement / success criteria of the position:

1. Accountable and responsible for BAR project success – deliver agreed solution on time and in budget, and reaching 4+ score in post project implementation survey, by using project framework
2. Accountable and responsible for BAR best practice sharing in Asia and Globally
3. Accountable for guarantee 100% on time delivery of all BAR projects
4. Successfully proven shorter time to market delivery of all projects
5. Ensure that projects allocated are handled and clearly documented regardless of project outcome.

1. Knowledge of Maersk Logistics systems and processes
2. Knowledge of Maersk Logistics WND/BAR businesses, clients and operation processes
3. Good analytical skills and ability to grasp complex problems and providing innovative solutions
4. Negotiation and communication skills
5. Proficient in spoken and written English
6. Knowledge of the Global organisation not limited to CENSYSLOGWND and Area organisations.
7. Project management skills
8. Training/Presentation experience

Title of position:    Officer, Back Office Support Desk/ IT and Electronic Data Processing

 Location:  Shanghai

Purpose & general responsibilities of the position: 

1. Provide user and operational support to WND

Specific responsibilities of the position: 

i. - Configure WMS4000 according to requirement document
ii. - Provide routine user and operation support to IDX reports
iii. - Provide routine user and operation support to IDX interface
iv. - Provide routine user and operation support to WMS4000 
v. - Assist to create and maintain WND system operation SOP.
vi. - Coordinate with EDI team to development EDI Interface
vii. - Create and maintain WND system documentation
viii. - Assist and coordinate with technical team to monitor and maintain of WMS4000 infrastructure
Specific requirements for the position:

- Knowledge and experience on EDI standards eg., XML, X.12  and communication eg., FTP, AS2
- Experience and klnowledge on database (eg., Oracle, MS SQL, …)
- Knowledge and expeience on VB Programming
- MS Windows or IBM AIX experience
- WND business and operation knowledge added advantage
- Logistics business and operation knowledge added advantage
- Knowledge and experience on WMS4000 added advantage
- Able to Communicate with internal and/or external project team members.
- Able to work independently towards specific tasks and/or deliverables based on specifications.
- Communication in English and Mandarin
- Diploma or equivalent in IT or related discipline
