Responsibilities:
Assist in collecting information relevant to Thomson, including technology and services related to the media and entertainment industries (TV, film, telecommunication)
Assist in preparing strategic presentation for senior management.
Assist in translating materials, which could be technical, legal, financial, or news.
Assist in planning meetings and travels.
Handle administrative work for supervisor, including expense reporting, travel bookings, etc.
Other ad-hoc work as may be required by supervisor.
Required qualifications:
College student graduating in 2007, internship will be through June 2007.
Strong command of spoken and written English is a must.
Must be detail-oriented.
Must be able to work for at least 30 hours per week.
Strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred qualifications:
Understanding of industries relevant to Thomson.
Understanding of accounting, Chinese and international.
Ability to work 40 hours per week during normal office hours.
Ability to interpret during meetings.
