- Description
The major areas of responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Gain thorough understanding of overall product architecture and key features to be able to train other testers within GDCC.
2. Gain thorough understanding of the test plans for various functional components of SD
3. Log issues in the bug tracking system.
4. Verify and close issues once resolved by development.
5. Modify test cases in case additional information is required
6. Review functional specifications, assess their coverage, assess their testability, and provide meaningful feedback..
7. Develop functional test plans and test cases from functional specification and software design documents.
8. Execute test cases, analyze results, create defects, verify fixes and perform follow up work to resolve issues
Qualifications
1. Bachelor (undergraduate) or Masters (graduate) degree in computer science
2. Strategic and tactical thinking capabilities
3. Project management skills/team management skills
4. Strong presentation, communication and facilitation skills
5. Experience in developing quality-measurement metrics, data profiling, testing plans, and data acquisition and validation procedures
6. Experience in high-performance, high-volume data storage technologies, and high-bandwidth, high-capacity data communication networks
7. Working knowledge on OV Suite of Products (OVIS, OVPI, OVSR, OVSD etc.) strongly desired
8. Ability to learn and gain proficiency in a variety of software applications
