Job Description:
The software application is the core of our organization. The quality of the application code is vital for the success of our organization. As an experienced Java developer with in-depth technical knowledge of the language, you will play an important role in increasing and guarding the transparency, maintainability and efficiency of the code. Besides that you will research complex Java-related technical issues which arise constantly in an ever changing high-tech environment. By transferring your knowledge you will pull the other developers to a higher level of excellence in Java.
Qualifications
Education, skills, experience:
Extensive education in and experience with Java
Experience with development and maintenance of large systems
Motivated to make others as good as yourself
Flexible attitude and enthusiastic
Good troubleshooting skills
Fast learner and able to understand complex systems thoroughly to be able to change them efficiently
Good understanding and experience in Java programming
Some experience in C & C++
Firm knowledge of OO concepts and UML is highly desirable
Experience with using and integrating OpenView products is highly desirable
Experience with EAI project is highly desirable
ClearCase experience highly desirable
Understanding of standards such as XML, SOAP, JMS, HTTP
Experience with developing automated unit tests (JUnit) is desirable.
Understanding of scripting languages like jscript, UNIX shell, Windows batch and perl
Job requirements:
Solid knowledge of the Windows environment
University degree or equivalent experience
Flexible on working hours
Strong team player
Fluent English
Solid knowledge of the UNIX environment is desirable
