职位描述: LABORATORY TECHNICIAN
-Based in the Shanghai.
-Supports the development of FMC Biopolymer's carrageenan, alginate and microcrystalline products in the Convenience and Meat application technology by means of undertaking and planning experimental work at laboratory or pilot scale as directed by relevant application specialist and/or technical manager. Carry out day to day laboratory duties, including the technical service work and development work to enable support of customer projects is a major aspect of the role.
-Plan and execute where appropriate scientific work to support the technical needs of the project. Report the results of all experiments undertaken in a clear and concise manner to the appropriate standard of scientific rigor with clear rationale for conclusions and recommendations for further investigative work.
-Ensure all relevant equipment/laboratory space is available (in safe, clean and operable condition) to undertake necessary experimental work
Requirements:
-B.Sc. in Food Science with minimum 1year working experience in Food industry, preferably in meat or convenience (confectionery), in product development, or technical support. New Food science degree graduate with talent and strong drive will also be considered.
-Proficiency in operation of equipment at laboratory and pilot scale.
-Sound food science background, comfortable with equipment and processes with an aptitude at hands on problem solving.
-Knowledge in relevant laboratory and analytical techniques.
-Ability to apply scientific principles to provide practical solutions.
-Comfortable at working in accordance with planned activity with strong ability to adapt to changing priorities and project needs.
-Proficiency in Mandarin and English is essential (spoken and written).
-Result-oriented, enjoys challenges, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a strong team spirit.
-Previous food industry experience will be considered a distinct advantage.
-Computer literate; experienced in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint will be a plus point.
