Position title: 
Software Developer for Business Intelligence Solutions


PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
Global Service & Support has a number of productive internal
business systems used by SAP worldwide. One of these
systems is the Business Intelligence (BI) system, where Global
Service & Support has a number of productive Business
Intelligence solutions for internal reporting. In this context,
GSS acts like a customer using SAP's BI product. According to
business needs and global strategies new business contents
need to be implemented, often based on BI standard contents.
In addition, existing BI contents need to be enhanced or
redesigned. These productive business systems and their
included processes must be supported and maintained.


EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Master degree in computer science or comparable education
- Good communication skills, especially concerning discussions
with business representatives
- Interest in customer support oriented work
- Flexibility


EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
- Discuss and understand business needs for reporting
- Analyze and activate BI standard content
- Implement customer specific extensions to standard content
including data extraction
- Implement GSS specific Info Objects, cubes, ODS and other BW
structures
- Implement individual data extractions from application systems
- Implement process chains for automated data loads
- Build reports and queries
- Support end users with information on contents and query
Handling


WORK EXPERIENCE
-1-2 years work experience is a must.
- Know-how in ABAP, SAP NetWeaver 04 would be very helpful but is not mandator

- Understanding of Netweaver architecture with focus on BI and
detailed BI knowledge would be very helpful but is not mandatory
- General BI knowledge and hands on experience would be helpful
- Knowledge about data modeling and implementation as well as
data extraction would be helpful
- Knowledge about query and report design would be helpful
