Hanovia (ww***com[点击查看]) is looking for an Application Specialist with experi
ence of applying UV technology to water purification systems.  In particular w
e are looking for someone with knowledge of photochemistry and its use in redu
cing TOC in water treatment systems for semiconductor and electronics manufact
urers. Other Photochemical applications include chlorine removal, destruction 
of chloramines, and ozone reduction.

The role will involve supporting our sales team in defining the correct produc
t configurations for these applications, preparation of marketing and sales su
pport materials plus evaluating and interpreting test results in order to ensu
re our product offering is correctly matched to customer requirement.  The rol
e could involve international travel in support of our global customer base fo
r the right candidate.

Hanovia is a leading manufacturer of UV disinfection equipment, serving market
s globally from a manufacturing base in Slough, Berks.  The company has been e
stablished for over 80 years and is wholly owned by Halma plc., one of the UK’
s most respected engineering companies.

eca, Pfizer, Danone, Intel, Samsung, Guinness, Carlsberg, Ford Motor Co., amon
gst thousands of others.

Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate will be highly focused on delivering solutions to cus
tomer problems.  They must demonstrate the following:

•	Drive and ambition, keen desire to succeed.  
•	Passionate about customers buying the products they are supporting. 

•	Proactive “hands-on” attitude, dedicated to helping customers solve 
their problems
•	Strong minded, confident in dealing with customers.  Capable of simply
 and clearly explaining complex issues to technical and non-technical colleagu
es and superiors
•	Innovative thinking, able to apply this to customer requirements
•	Capable of gaining or already has gained a good understanding of marke
t requirements and capable of specifying those requirements to R&D teams.
•	Analytical approach to problem solving
•	Good spoken and written English skills

Education:  Degree in Chemistry or Physics.  Postgraduate qualification in a r
elevant area would be advantageous.  Good school science grades.

The position will report to the Technology & Applications Manager of Hanovia, 
with significant exposure to senior Hanovia management.
