Description:
Company needs a design assistant to help senior designer develop ideas . The right person will be motivated, communicate confidently and be able to demonstrate being resourceful. Managing their own time as well as the projects they are working on is very important. They must have a confident and friendly personality.
The most important attribute is the ability to sketch confidently.
There are 3 main areas that the person will engage;
1) Research (30%)
2) Design (50%) –product design (70%) graphic design (30%).
3) Some general administration tasks and translation of key research and design criteria (20%)
The person will also attend trade shows with the team and have opportunity to learn about a variety of design and manufacturing processes.
Successful applicant who can prove themselves, will be given the opportunity to grow and develop this role or a different role within the company, leading into a management position. Salary will grow to match employee accomplishments of duties and skills and personal attributes.
