- Description
To provide technical knowledge and expertise in the development of new Thin Film process technologies in the inkjet business.
To support production on assigned materials, covering material/component specification and manufacturing processes with a detailed understanding of how the material/component affects product manufacture and performance.
This expertise is instrumental in supporting continuous improvement of material quality, cost and availability such that line yields and finished product quality are optimised.
Key Responsibilities:
Contributions to the development of processes involving optical interactions with Thin Film semiconductor substrates.
Detailed analysis of new process interactions with current technologies.
Production line support on material / material-process issues.
Minimise cost of assigned material sets by providing engineering solutions to reduce manufacturing cost and eliminate non-value added activities out of the value chain.
Identify, qualify and develop new local material/component suppliers to increase supply capacity, reduce cost and improve quality.
Develop vendor performance in areas of cost, quality and availability through HP vendor management tools.
Lead and co-ordinate local and World Wide activities for assigned material sets.
Qualifications
Masters degree in Engineering, Materials science or related technical discipline.
Demonstrated knowledge of semiconductor substrate characteristics and properties.
Strong analytical capability with problem solving and communication skills
Ability to contribute both as an individual and as part of a team
Strong organisational and technical leadership skills
Desired Requirements:
PhD degree in Engineering, Materials science or related technical discipline.
Statistical analysis skills & process control knowledge
