Job Objective:
Provide strategic / market/ business analysis and recommendations as it relates to sourcing
Essential Functions:
-Business / market analysis and recommendations to assist Commodity Managers in sourcing decisions
-Pricing analysis and recommendations for comparing supplier offers
-Strategic analysis and recommendations for long term sourcing approaches and potential changes
-Spend and pricing analysis to assist business divisions in costing
-Provide reporting and analysis for material pricing, price forecasts, productivity, accounts payable and rebate tracking in support of Global Procurement and Business Divisions, Finance and Treasury.
-Develop monthly raw materials pricing forecasts and historical background.
-Track monthly productivity, account payables and rebates to enable Commodity Managers to manager contracts; and assist business divisions, finance and treasury in making decisions regarding product pricing, accrual adjustments, and cash management.
-Maintain Global Contracts Database to ensure compliance with terms and conditions of active contracts.
-Develop notification system for contract termination
-Perform training on BW Sourcing Cube as necessary. Become SME (Subject Matter Expert) for SAP Business Warehouse.
Education/Qualifications:
-Bachelors degree in Business, Logistics, Finance, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
-Proficient in Excel, Access Database
-Familiarity with statistics, quality and ERP tools (specifically SAP and SAP Business Warehouse preferred, but not required).
-Contract administration – Basic understanding of contracts and the ability to read legal language.
