职位描述：
1.Provide technical leadership to build a multi-discipline engineering team with focus on blade server development
Business Development
1.Develop strategic relationship with customer’s engineering organization
2.Be subject matter of expert to establish company’s technical credential.
3.Function as engineering/technical advisor in business strategy development for the computing and server segment
4.Function as technical expert in defining and development of the product platform strategy
5.Develop key supplier relationship, ownership for integrating chip vendors and other key suppliers’ technology roadmap into SLR solutions
Bid and Proposal
1.Develop D&E value proposition into proposals. Responsible for supporting the engineering section of bid and proposal.
2.Proactively identify engineering led manufacturing opportunity and engage SLR team for bid and proposal
3.Proactively work with customer in defining specs, creating BOM and customize product solutions
4.Drive engineering outsourcing service revenue
5.Develop design partner relationship with suppliers for custom solutions
Marketing Technical Expertise
1.Establish company image and credibility in defined technical field in the Computing and Server segment
Report: Computing & Server Segment Manager
Key Metrics:
1.Success in design wins with pull through mfg revenue
2.Success in selling high gross margin solutions to customer
Essential Functions Required
3.Understanding of processor vendor roadmaps and technology - Intel, AMD, IBM, and Freescale
4.Understanding of South Bridge and North Bridge technology - Intel, AMD, Nvidia, Broadcom Serverworks
5.Understanding of South Bridge and North Bridge interface standards - AGP, PCIe, etc.
6.Understanding of memory vendor roadmaps - Samsung, Smart Module,etc...
7.Understanding of memory interface standards - DDR2, DDR3, RLDRAM, buffered, unbuffered, ECC, ranks
8.Understanding of disk drive vendor roadmaps - Seagate, Hiti, ST Micro, Maxtor, Western Digital
9.Understanding of disk drive interfaces standards - SATA, SAS, etc.
10.Understanding of Power solutions for servers - ST Micro, Voltex
11.Understanding of maintenance and alarming standards - priority and open standards
12.Understanding of industry and vendor standards - ATCA, IBM/Sun/HP Blade system standards - Blade Center 1/2/3, Telco Blade Center
13.Understanding of backplane interface vendors roadmaps and interfaces - InfinitiBand, PCIe, 10G/1G Ethernet, Hyper-Transport
14.Experience working with BIOS vendors
15.Experience working with POST vendors
16.Experience working with vendors on SW drivers -Linux, Solaris, etc.
17.Experience in Server Architecture system development - Intel and AMD required, IBM and Freescale a plus for Telco Blade Development for key customers - Sun, HP, IBM, NORTEL, Lucent, CISCO, ...
18.Must possess excellent oral and written skills
