- 1.Project Description
The project is focusing on paper works of PHY and MAC layer of B3G and 4G technologies. It includes research and development of state-of-art technologies in the following fields.
�MIMO, OFDM
Modulation, Coding
Power control
Handoff
Not restricted to the above list
As we are on its beginning state, the detail research target area will be discussed.
2.Main Responsibility
Main responsibility includes following activities
To propose and discuss* appropriate research area;
To write papers, patents and reports; and
To make contribution to standard organizations like CCSA, 3GPPs, ITU-R, etc.
* The proposal will be discussed among the engineers in Beijing R&D center, and ETRI Korea.
However, the project to set up will be in line with the applicant’s research area.
3.Research Method:
As each project is going to be self-run project, the engineer is going to have discussion with cooperative research project teams in China and ETRI engineers in Korea.
The project discussion with ETRI Korea is supposed to be held once or twice a quarter year.
4.Qualifications
Ph. D in Electrical Engineering or any related area;
Strong level of self-motivation
Strong ability in paper works
Proficiency in English.
Work experience in a reputed project or establishment
Good communications skills and good team spirit;
Able to travel sometimes.
5.Benefits
Salary is average level of foreign companies hiring Ph. D. student in this field.

6.Contract
The contract will be yearly basis and it will be extended if there's no much problem in his/her project achievement.
* Satisfactory evaluation of your achievement may further lead you to a position in ETRI headquarter in Daejon Korea.
