Introduction
Dow is looking for two Technical Service and Development Specialist, one for our Polycarbonate business and another one for our Engineering Compounds business, to support the significant opportunities for growth in the Greater China region. A good understanding of the plastics business in PRC is essential, especially in the usage of plastics in the Media, Durables, Consumer Electronics and Information Technology Equipment market. Knowledge on the Polycarbonate and Engineering Compounds and their competitive environments is critical to our success. Knowledge on the design of molds and molded parts is highly desirable. Successful candidate will be responsible for the development of new accounts/applications and offer technical service to customers for Polycarbonate Products or Engineering Compounds products in China.The applicant is required to work closely with sale representative and Technical Service & Development peers in identifying opportunities for growth.
Responsibility
The primary responsibilities will include:
- Technical support for the development of new applications, new products, and new customers, in partnership with business R&D and other Technical Service and Development (TS&D) specialists.
- The incumbent will partner with the region's best technology institutions to discover, assess, and bring back to the corporation best practices in technical areas of applicability to our current and future business growth needs.
Qualifications
- The candidate should have at minimum a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/Physical Science/Material Science/Polymer Science or related disciplines.
- Prior experience or demonstrated capability in the Greater China and other Pacific regions is highly desirable.
- Willing to Travel both domestically and overseas.
