Title: Test Engineer

Work Location: Bei Jing

Number of Vacancy: 2

General requirements:

Candidates for this position must posses good overall knowledge of wireless di
gital communications systems and CDMA 1X/EVDO/IS95 and preferably in WCDMA/UMT
S, GSM and GPRS physical layer protocols and standards.

Strong network optimization and test experience are required to fulfill these 
job responsibilities.

Should be familiar with CDMA and UMTS standards

Execute voice, data, UI and new feature testing with data collection SW parsin
g & analysis tools.

Extensive field and lab tests would be required to fully test and validate the
 test tools

Experience in SW performance and stability test of voice and data handheld dev
ices based on CDMA and UMTS technologies would be a plus.

Job Description:

Execute complete test plan for major SW releases of MobileView UM SW used for 
wireless network data collection and data analysis by the operators

Provide test results to project leads per schedule

Submit and track progress of UM-centric Change Requests (CRs)

Document UM-centric issue resolution in Clarify Solution database for the futu
re use

Investigate, test and implement a successful UMß>SMS interaction method 
(SMS via E-mail gateway testing, workarounds…ACB avoidance)

 

Requirements:

Hands on technical support experience;

Familiar with wireless handset programming;

Prior knowledge on handset test experience would be helpful

Knowledge on CDMA handset would be a plus

3 years of industry experience.

Experience in Perl, C/C++, etc.

Good understanding of Operating Systems and multi-tasking experience

Education requirement: BS EE or above

              Fluency in English
