- Main responsibilities:
Set up and manage printing contracts for Kaplan Aspect China
Liaise between production teams in our London/New York offices, and local Chinese printers
Responsible for the translation of our brochures and all sales & marketing materials
Manage print productions (including receiving and checking artwork, obtaining quotes, selecting printers, paper buying, colour proof checking and press checking)
Manage shipping of printed materials
Manage China warehousing and distributions
Skills and abilities required for the role:
Skills required
Printing knowledge (familiar with the technical side of printing)
Desk Top publishing skills (Adobe InDesign and Acrobat essential, Adobe Photoshop beneficial
Good translation skills
Negotiation skills (for print and paper buying)
Very good eye for detail
Project management skills
MS Office skills (especially Word and Excel)
Competencies
Good multi-tasking abilities
Flexibility
Highly motivated with initiative to develop the role
Confident working to strict deadlines
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Experience: relevant experience for the role
Graduate with some work experience in the design or printing industries
Languages
Native Chinese speaker
A high level of English is required (the candidate will be required to liaise with overseas offices and deal with problems in English)
