Job Description
Work with senior engineering staff to support product development effort. Create documentation of designs and assist MDVT effort. Develop mechanical designs and work with vendors to produce parts and participate in the Design for Manufacturing (DFM) effort. Develop and refine mechanical packaging design skills. Gain knowledge of worldwide environmental compliance requirements.
Skills Required
-Exposure to MCAD systems, desire to become proficient
-Have strong mechanical aptitude with ability to visualize design concepts and understand how mechanical things work.
-Basic knowledge of fabrication processes such as machining, sheet metal punch and press work, injection molding and die casting.
-Know basics of fastening techniques such as welding, riveting, screws, and heat staking, etc.
-Thermal/Heat Transfer and Materials courses
-Fluent English, exceptional written and verbal skills.
-Skilled with Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.
