Job Description:
1. Must have in-depth knowledge of all phases of printing. This includes screen directions, screen engraving, the basic knowledge of printing machines, good knowledge of fabrics and their reactions to different prints and dyes, dyeing process and finishing process.
2. Must have a good eye for color and the reactions under different lights.
3. Design understanding - the relationship between colors, balance between the designs and the ability to coordinate collections.
4. Enough experience and ability to make on the spot independent decisions.
5. The experience must also give the person the ability to analyze, react and decide quickly and most of the time under pressure.
6. Good English to understand the designers comments.
7. Good communication abilities both Verbal and in writing. This is for communication with both the factories and the NY office.
8. Must be able to Travel.
9. Basic knowledge of cut and sew to help determine directions of prints, fabric utilization and screen planning.
10. A team player who understands the meaning of getting the job done.
