- position summary:
1. Preparation, sterilization, pouring and packaging of prepared culture media.
2. Ensure that all cleanroom standards are maintained by complying with and enforcing cleanroom protocols.
3. Other duties may include production inventory maintenance, staff training and some administration.
4. Responsible for ensuring all functions required for production are completed accurately and timely i.e.:
a. Daily check on calibration of balances
b. Become familiar with and fully understand raw materials and finished goods part numbering systems and all raw materials and their physical characteristics
c. Packaging of finished product
d. Formulation and dispensing of media products
e. Equipment and facility cleaning i.e.: walls, floors, windows, and ceilings
f. Proper use of the provided personal protective equipment during the various processes
g. Perform in process testing on culture media including, but not limited to pH.
h. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the production and storage areas.
7. Supervise appropriate production personnel to complete production functions
8. Responsible for paperwork and completion of product control documents for lots being produced and ensuring all documentation and record keeping meets required regulatory standards. (ISO 9001)
9. Responsible for ensuring production procedures are up to date and followed at all times
10. Track inventories of production supplies and raw materials, communicate needs or discrepancies
11. Assist facilities engineering with repair and maintenance of production equipment as necessary
12. Work a flexible schedule to complete production as needed
13. Supervise manufacturing based in the production suite
14. Perform other duties as assigned other reasonable request from management
minimum requirements/qualifications
1. Working experience in laboratory or life science related manufacturing facility setting.
2. Manufacturing experience or demonstrated aptitude with machinery andd scientific instruments.
3. Continuous training and procedure review required
4. Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office and SAP.
5. Strong organizational skills and an ability to work with minimal supervision.
6. Good standard of English in listening, speaking, reading and writing.
