The HP Inkjet Commercial Division develops leading-edge large format printers for a broad range of markets and needs worldwide, being the first world wide supplier in this printing segment. This division has a product development team in Shanghai with the need of incorporating engineers devoted to maintain our competitive edge in the marketplace, ensuring that HP Image Quality and Systems are World Class and continuously improving.

Position description:
Participate as a member of an R&D design team responsible for the concept generation, investigation, circuit design, prototyping, testing, PCA design, qualification and release to production of electronic systems for the large format printers designed in Shanghai.

Key Duties and Responsibilities will include some of the following:
Designing, prototyping and implementing analog circuit designs, digital circuit designs and system electronics designs
Test and verify your solutions to meet all functionality, reliability, serviceability, customer, and regulatory requirements.
Develop engineering specifications and component requirements.
He/She will be able to understand and learn the Image Quality (IQ) concept and its attributes, how they are perceived by the costumer, how a printing system works and how the electronics system manage and controls its performance.

Requirements:

2nd or last year of Master's degree in Electronic Engineering (Digital or Analog).
Candidate must have aptitude for electrical/electronics design and fundamentals, have hands-on working style.
Knowledge on microprocessors and memory systems, high-speed digital circuits, logic design, bus standards (PCI, USB, IDE,..), sensors and signal conditioning, motor control, power supplies.
Desirable knowledge with industry standard schematic capture and simulation tools (Mentor, Cadence, SPICE,..)
Knowledge in computer science/programming, specifically embedded firmware development is also desirable.
Be fluent in English
Have excellent teamwork and communication skills
