-Assignment Title: Engineer-Process Monitoring
-Time Frequency: At least 3 days a week
-Location: Shanghai (Zhangjiang)
Responsibility:
 Ability to work closely with global teams to initiate and develop tec
hnology of process & machine health monitoring for conventional machining (gri
nding, turning and milling) through multiple sensors (power, force, accelerome
ter, acoustic emission, etc.) to predict-prevent faults and improve productivi
ty;
 Develop monitoring and control system using the National Instruments
platform;
 Design and conduct machining experiments, record research data, acqui
re and manage signals to develop process models for data analysis and decision
-making;
 Document research results through patent applications, technical repo
rts, and publications;
 Identify innovative technology ideas based on business needs and doma
in knowledge.
Requirements:
 PhD or M.S. in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent;
 Three years of experience in sensing and data acquisition for grindin
g, turning and milling processes monitoring;
 Ability in signal processing and intelligent algorithm development fo
r prognostic machining and condition based maintenance;
 Proficiency in Matlab and/or Labview;
 Proactively work with global businesses to address any machining iss
ues or needs and project management experience is a plus;
 Strong communication skills in both Chinese and English.
