Responsibilities
The Head of the Lifestyle Applications Department will be responsible for managing a group of about 30 highly educated scientists and engineers. In the department research is conducted on topics like Lighting, Digital Television, Storage Applications and Digital Rights Management. The department head is responsible for the content and direction of the research program and for developing the vision and strategy of the department. He/she maintains strong interactions with other research departments in Research East Asia, Research U.S.A, Research Europe and his/her customers in the Product Divisions. An important component of the function is the interaction with external partners and academic institutions in China. He/she manages the resources in his/her department on a daily basis.
Requirements
A requirement for the function is a solid technical background with a PhD Degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics. The Head of the Lifestyle Applications Department is a member of the Management Team of Research East Asia.
