Business Group Overview
Intel's Information Services and Technology Group (ISTG) designs, deploys and supports the information technology architecture and hardware/software applications for Intel. This includes the LAN, WAN, telephony, data centers, client PCs, backup and restore, and enterprise applications. ISTG is also responsible for e-Commerce development, data hosting and delivery of Web content and services.
Qualifications
You must possess a Bachelor's degree with Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering background is preferred.
Responsibilities
In this position, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, upgrading, testing, troubleshooting and recycling of UNIX* and/or NT* computer servers in a distributed computing environment. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Monitoring usage, load and performance of remote or locally sited servers
- Executing production processes
- Providing first level support for customer purchased services
- Installing and testing operating systems, databases and/or supported enterprise applications
- Troubleshooting for errors, performing recovery steps remotely or on site
- Researching, recommending and/or implementing system enhancements that will improve server and/or operating system and/or application reliability, security and performance
- Formulating, recommending and/or monitoring policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management
- Providing training to personnel on system usage
