This position is under hp notebook GBU Supply Chain —mainly managing the notebook ODM factory activities to support hp notebook fast-growing business needs.
The SC Factory NPI/Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring proper quality processes/system to be established at ODMs during NPI (new production introduction phase) and engineering/quality activities to be timely executed in support of meeting the new product launch schedule. Performance is primarily measured by process implementation/readiness, quality metrics, and timely resolution of factory issues which will have impact to factory readiness. This position is a senior engineer role which required profound experience in PC manufacturing, strong knowledge in the area of quality control, communication skill, program management and influencing skill with external partners.
Key responsibilities: 1. Team work with SC NPI PQE and System team to manage notebook ODM partners to ensure good factory processes readiness to support new product introduction. Main tasks include, Factory manufacturing processes setup for new platforms Lead factory readiness review with ODM partners and drive gating issues timely closure. Lead sub-supplier quality management program for new production introduction and drive sub-supplier quality readiness. Perform audits to ODM process and system. Lead safe launch quality data review for PV/MV to ensure quality goals (FPY/EOL) to be met Perform gap analysis review and pass the lesson learnt to related teams Attend routine NPI conf. calls scheduled with ODM or hp internal teams (System team, NPI or TCE) and provide regular feedback to SC NPI PQE, System team and TCE for quality improvement suggestions. Conduct initial quality review (FCS+ 4 weeks) with ODMs and assist the knowledge transfer to Factory Ops Engineer within the window of FCS + 4 weeks. 2. Lead monthly quality review meeting with notebook ODMs with Factory Ops Engineer, drive according actions closure and consolidate/provide ODM monthly factory quality package to related parties within SC, TCE and System team.
3. Facilitate ODM partner to establish & execute sub-supplier quality management program, and conduct on-site audit to suppliers when needed.
4. Lead Factory Engineering team to conduct quarterly evaluation to ODM’s quality performance (QBR scoring) and follow up actions with ODMs until proper closure.
5. Strong leadership to facilitate ODM factory implementation for GBU quality initiatives.
6. Participate the yearly quality survey to ODM factories with the audit team and follow up factory operation-related corrective actions closure.
7. Support to new manufacturing processes setup at ODM factory to meet hp’s business needs.
8. Actively track IQDC data integrity at ODM and report/escalate issues as required.

Qualifications Candidate Profile:
Experience in a high volume, high technology manufacturing environment. Good project planning and time management skills. Ability to confidently raise issues and lead resolution as required. Good understanding of quality processes, process control and ISO 9000 Minimum requirements:
1. Applicants should have a Bachelors Degree in Engineering/ Science.
2. Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English.
3. Ability to work well with people, particularly in a teamwork environment.
4. Demonstrated a commitment to Manufacturing Excellence
5. Desirable requirements: Experience in Product/Quality Engineering/leading quality improvement projects using 6-sigma approach
