In Novozymes R&D our 600 highly skilled employees continuously strive to keep Novozymes at the cutting edge of biotech research and development. Our scientists collaborate in a global organisation with colleagues in Denmark, China, USA and Japan. We have a comprehensive technology platform and work with broad aspects of basic research and development of enzymes and other microbial compounds.
The R&D Graduate Program
The R&D Graduate Program is directed towards basic research and applied research as well as the interface between the two. In our research laboratories we use the latest technologies within gene technology, screening and directed evolution, microbial strain development, protein chemistry, assay development and a broad range of application models, directed at developing the use of enzymes in detergents, food processing, textiles, animal feed, biofuels and many other industrial applications. The graduate program covers the variety of tasks we deal with in R&D. We will strive to align the program with your competency profile and skills.
During the program you will be assigned to different areas of the Research & Development unit, where you will work with daily operations as well as with special projects. The graduate positions will be based in either the US, China or Denmark, and at least one of your program assignments will take place outside of your home base.

Highly Qualified Graduates
We expect you to hold a Master degree or a PhD within biochemistry, molecular biology, protein chemistry or chemical engineering. You have a track record of outstanding academic achievements and possess an international outlook and excellent English skills.
You work independently but are also known for your contribution as a team player. You are energetic, result-driven and strive to reach the best results. You must be flexible, open and able to adapt well to changing situations. You like to travel and work abroad, and you know how to communicate with people at all levels and get your message through.
Fluency in English (oral and written) is expected.
