Program Description:
- The 8 week program is designed to give Summer Consultants an experience that reflects as much as possible the typical experience of a full-time consultant at Monitor
- Summer Consultants work with Monitor case teams on projects that enhance our clients\' long term competitive position and performance in ways that are distinctive, innovative, and sustainable.
- At the end of the 8 weeks, all summer consultants will be evaluated based on their performance and full time offers will be given out to qualified individuals

Requirements:
- Undergraduate or graduate students graduating in the summer of 2008
- Excellent academic credentials for both undergraduate and graduate coursework
- A strong and demonstrated interest in strategy consulting
- Background or experience (through coursework or employment) in marketing, quantitative analysis and financial analysis
- Knowledge in business strategy, marketing, finance, operations, and data analysis techniques
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Leadership qualities with project management skills
- Willingness and ability to take initiative and learn independently

Main Activities in the Program:
1.Partner with client teams in developing hypotheses, gathering data, brainstorming alternatives, and generating recommendations
2.Work collaboratively with case team members from both the Action Company (strategy consulting) as well as other Monitor Group companies like M2C and Grail Research
3.Integrate broad sets of data into frameworks which can then be used to synthesize learning and develop strategy
4.Determine the appropriate analysis techniques and supervise the analysis of existing and new customer data by undergraduate consultants

Training:
Training is provided primarily on the job and through on-going mentorship relationships. The program includes an introductory session to introduce you to Monitor Group\'s strategy and an overview of our methods and group company structure. Finally, numerous social and informal events are planned, so you can get to know the firm on a more personal level.
