Field Technical Sales Engineer (Guangzhou)
The position is for an expert in engineering plastics, to conduct field techni
cal sales and customer development in south China. This position will provide
a key interface between the customer (molder/auto tier I/OEM), and company’s
business planning group in Shanghai to develop Celanese's engineering thermop
lastics business in south region of China.
Responsibilities:
1) Work closely with business planning staff and local technical resources to
develop customer basis in the region and to move customer programs from concep
t to commercialization.
2) Manage application development programs at customers, educate customers why
the company products are technically suitable for their applications and prov
ide simple trouble shooting.
3) Coordinate with company's global resources for new product development and
market assessment.
4) Identify key property attributes for specific applications and coordinate w
ith company's local technical resources to ensure the product supplied meets c
ustomer's needs.
5) use of presentation materials for customer seminars and training.
6) Develop knowledge and insight of all major competitive threats, including c
ompetitive market move, market share and competitive material.

Qualifications required:
1) BS or higher degree in Polymer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or relat
ed majors
2) At least 3 years experience in field technical sales involving application
development and/or technical service of fiber reinforced engineering plastics,
preferably in the field of reinforced Nylon business ?Experienced in new cust
omer identification and development
3) Demonstrated leadership/Supervisory skill in Project Management and Team Ma
nagement
4) Knowledge in injection molding, screw extrusion and compression molding.
5) be able to provide simple troubleshooting and process assistance.
6) Ability to implement marketing plans, including multi-level interactions wi
th customers and end-user personnel with minimum supervision.
7) Excellent oral and written communication skills.
8) Problem solving and results oriented
9) Chinese (fluent both in mandarin and Cantonese) as a native language. Flue
nt in English.
10) Potential for travel is up to 60%
