Job Description
    Globalization is essential to Cisco's continued growth and future market d
ominance. To achieve this goal, Cisco is establishing a globalization lab in S
hanghai, China. Our team is set to develop a web service (TA&W) that provides 
centralized support for internationalization and localization of company softw
are products, documentations and publications. This is an excellent moment to 
join an energetic and dynamic team within Cisco. 

Job responsibilities include:
1.Write design specifications and functional specifications;
2.Design and develop new software features for the above TA&W;
3.Perform unit, integration and regression tests;
4.Identify, debug and resolve problems found during internal verificatio
n testing and by customers.
5.Interact with cross-functional teams
6.Participate in Cisco’s Patent Program

Skills Required
1. Knowledge in software design and implementation, esp. object-oriented desig
n methodology and patterns.
2. Self-motivated quick learner with strong analytical and problem solving abi
lity;
3. Experience in developing applications in a UNIX/Linux and/or Windows develo
pment environment.
4. Strong Java and/or C++ development experience;
5. HTML / J2EE / XML Exposure (Preferred)
6. Good oral and written communication, team and people skills.
7. Basic understanding of network technologies
The following skills are desirable:Familiar with internationalization/localiza
tion development process;Knowledge of client server architecture;Experience wi
th web-based UI design and development.
