job description
The software engineer designs, develops and tests. The software engineer works as a member of an engineering team developing, designing, and maintaining one or more of our products. This position reports to the appropriate manager. The software network engineer:
is responsible for the quality and completeness of assignments, including investigation tasks, initial design, development, bug fixing, quality engineering, documentation, and general product maintenance. resolves in-process problems independently, or with minor input from the development team. responds to key product questions and customer needs, and ports products to new operating systems and compilers on a regular basis. reviews new product or new release proposals, and provides feedback to engineering on product features and project schedules. Responsible for troubleshooting complex environments and resolving customer issues. Responsible for working with multiple engineering teams and vendors to drive and develop customer solutions.
Qualifications your profile
Bachelors or undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems,
Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience. Masters or graduate degree is desirable.
Understand Intranet and Internet technologies: http, firewall, tcpip, ndis, WLAN, WWAN, LAN, VPN, communications, and various networking protocols. Experienced with 802.11A, 802.11B, 802.11G.
Knowledge with 802.11n preferred.
Responsible for gathering the necessary information in duplicating complex network environments in an effort to solve customer networking issues.
Experienced in Cisco networking technology, routers, switches, hubs, access points, etc.
Experienced in analyzing wireless traces and networking traces to pinpoint problems.
CCNP - Cisco Certified Network Professional (preferred)
Cisco Advanced Wireless LAN Field Specialist Certification (preferred)
Microsoft MCSA/MCSE Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (required)
PMP - Project Management Professional (preferred)
CET6 (Preferred)
CET4 (Required)
Strong English Skills skill both oral and written.
