Responsibilities:
Secure and maintain profitable presence in the market place by proceeding all sales activities such as negotiate supply contracts, develop new business opportunities and achieve good customer relationships; Identify and evaluate customer needs, competitive activities/ threats, and initiate appropriate actions in coordination with the PBU product manager; Co-operate with product managers and / or sales executives of other PBU, CF, Supply Chain, whenever necessary, to achieve enterprise business objectives as efficiently and effectively as possible; Gather and report market intelligence, drawing attention to significant developments / changes/trends to the regional team and product manager; Gather, analyze and collate credit data to enable credit management to evaluate customer credit worthiness. Monitor payments by customers; Act in accordance with Shell’s Health Safety Security and Environment (HSSE) guidelines and understand impact of HSSE – requirements on own business. Proactively monitor customer’s HSSE – needs and practices; Monitor and report on customer complaints, contribute to solution and revert to customer with appropriate proposals, so as to improve customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
Fluent in Mandarin and English. Knowledge of other Chinese dialects will be an added advantage; Possess superior contract negotiating skills; Demonstrate knowledge of account management and customers value proposition development; Have fundamental commercial and industrial knowledge on petrochemicals and/or polyester industry; Possess high level of self – motivation, commitment and interpersonal skills; Candidates must be authorized to work in China and be willing to accept a local package.
